Cookies Settings
We use cookies to help you “Pivot” back to real life. Some are essential to keep the app running, while others help us understand how to make your experience better. You can update your preferences below at any time.
1. Strictly Necessary Cookies
Status: Always Active These are required for the app and website to function. They allow you to stay logged in, secure your account, and access your “Elite” features. Without these, Pivot simply wouldn’t work.
- Examples: Session tokens, security authentication, and subscription verification.
2. Performance & Analytics
Status: [Toggle On/Off] These help us “look under the hood.” They tell us which “Reality Checks” are the most popular and if the Research Library is easy to navigate. This data is aggregated and anonymous.
- Examples: Google Analytics, app crash reporting (Sentry/LogRocket).
3. Functional & Preference Cookies
Status: [Toggle On/Off] These remember the choices you make so you don’t have to. For example, they remember if you prefer “Dark Mode” or if you’ve muted certain notification types.
- Examples: Theme settings, language preferences, notification “snooze” status.
4. Research & Content Cookies (Optional)
Status: [Toggle On/Off] Since our Research Library uses Open Access content, we sometimes use cookies to track which articles you’ve already read so we can suggest new topics that help you fight tech burnout.
How to Manage Your Settings
- In-App: Go to Settings > Privacy > Cookie Preferences.
- On the Web: Click the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of our landing page.
- Browser Level: You can also block cookies entirely through your browser settings, though this may break some Pivot features.
